Mossix လိုက်ဖ်စီဒီ

ကျွန်တော် အရင်ကရေးဖူးသလိုပဲ ပရဟိတ ယူနီကုဒ်ပရောဂျက်စတာ ၂၀၀၆ မေ၊ ယူနီကုဒ် ၅.၁ ဖောင့်တင်တာ ၂၀၀၈ ဩဂုတ် ကတည်းက။ ဒါပေမယ့် Sourceforge မှာ ဒေါင်းလုပ်အကြိမ်ကို ကြည့်လိုက်ရင် အားရစရာမရှိပါဘူး။ အသုံးပြုသူဦးရေ (User base) ကိုလဲ ခန့်မှန်းကြည့်လို့ရပါတယ်။ Linux သုံးတဲ့သူနဲတာ၊ မြှင့်တင်ရေးနဲတာ၊ သုံးစွဲသူအဆင်ပြေပြေ (user friendly) မဖြစ်တာ၊ လမ်းညွှန် (user guide, manual) မရှိတာ စသည်ဖြင့်ပေါ့။ ပြောရရင်တော့အများကြီးပေါ့။

အဓိကပြောချင်တာအဲဒါမဟုတ်ပါဘူး။ Mossix လိုက်ဖ်စီဒီ အကြောင်းပါ။ ကျွန်တော့်ရဲ့ ယူနီကုဒ်ခရီးအစလို့ ပြောလို့ရပါတယ်။ ကိုဝီလီယံကတဆင့် Myanmar NLP ကလုပ်နေတာလေးတွေ စသိတာပါ။ အဲဒီတုန်းက Seminar နဲ့တူတယ်၊ သွားတက်တာ။ စီဒီလေးတစ်ချပ်ရလာခဲ့ပါတယ်။ m17n library ^၁၊ ပန်ဂိုမော်ဒျူး၊ မြစေတီဖောင့် နဲ့ လုပ်ထားတဲ့ဟာပါ။ ယူနီကုဒ်ဆိုတာ ပန်ဂိုဆိုတာ ဘာမှန်းမသိသေးတဲ့ အချိန်ပေါ့။ အစတော့စမ်းကြည့်ယုံပါ။

နောက် ကိုဝီလီယံဆီက ဂရိုက်ဖိုက် လိုက်ဖ်စီဒီလေး ထပ်ရပါတယ်။ Knoppix 3.4 ပေါ်မှာ ဂရိုက်ဖိုက် library ရယ်၊ ပန်ဂိုမော်ဒျူးရယ်၊ ပိတောက်ဖောင့်ရယ်၊ ဂရိုက်ဖိုက် ထဲ့ထားတဲ့ မိုးဇိလဘရောက်ဇာ (Mozilla၊ အဲဒီတုန်းကဘာသာပြန်အတိုင်း) ရယ် တင်ထားတာပါ။ Knoppix က KDE ဆိုတော့ တခြား gnome ပရိုဂရမ်တွေသုံးမရတော့ မိုးဇိလ တစ်မျိုးတည်း ယူနီကုဒ်သုံးနိုင်ပါတယ်။ အောက်မှာ စကရင်ပုံလေးတွေ အမှတ်တရတင်ပေးလိုက်ပါတယ်။





အချိန်က လိုက်ဖ်စီဒီတွေခေတ်စားစ၊ Distro တော်တော်များများတောင် လိုက်ဖ်စီဒီနဲ့ မထုတ်ကြသေးတဲ့အချိန်။ ကျွန်တော်လည်း လိုက်ဖ်စီဒီလုပ်ဖို့ ရောဂါတက်ပါတော့တယ်။ ပိတောက်ဖောင့်ပုံကို စကတည်းက မကြိုက်လို့ m17n နဲ့ မြစေတီကိုပဲရွေးဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ Distro ကတော့ Gentoo စမ်းနေတဲ့အချိန်ဆိုတော့ Gentoo ပေါ့။ ကျန်တာတွေကတော့ အောက်က Release notes မှာရေးထားတဲ့အတိုင်းပါပဲ။

This is the realease of Mossix (Myanmar OSS lInuX) LiveCD
for historical reason. It is not for production, only for
demonstration purpose, comes with absolutely no warranty and
provided "as is". Please also note that it's no longer
developed/maintained/supported but planned for further
version under different name may be same as project.

It is based on Gentoo-2004.2 and features the following
applications and uses m17n library and pango with m17n
module released in Myanmar OSS Enabling Kit CD by Myanmar
NLP Reserach Center for support of Myanmar Unicode-
*Gnome 2.6.2 with Excellent Lila Theme
*Mozilla Firefox 1.0.3 patched with pango support
*Gedit 2.6.2
*SCIM 1.2.1 with scim-m17n- for Input
*m17n-lib and m17n-db 1.1.0
*Pango 1.6.0 with m17n module (activated for only
Myanmar script)
*Gcalctool 4.3.51 (ui not translated)
*Gthumb 2.2.1 (ui not translated)
*Gtranslator 1.1.5 (ui not translated) used for
translations in this LiveCD.

The translations included in this LiveCD are just for
demonstration and so not accurate, not consistent and even
wrong in encoding sequence as lack of support for basic
checking for wrong encoding in m17n library. That's why I
started to develop my own module of Pango for Myanmar
script.

အမှန်က ငါးကြင်းခေါင်းကိုင်ခဲ့တာပါ။ Gentoo ကလည်း Source-base၊ အင်တာနက်ကလည်း မကောင်းနဲ့ X windows ဆိုရင် compile လုပ်တာ ညလုံးပေါက်ပါပဲ။ အကုန်လုံး အစအဆုံး compile လုပ်ယူခဲ့ရတာပါ။ ဘာသာပြန်လည်း ကိုယ်ပဲ။ နောက်ဆုံးတော့ အကြမ်းထည်လေးပြီးသွားပေမယ့် အပေါ်မှာရေးထားသလို m17n ကို အားမရလို့ ပန်ဂိုမော်ဒျူး နဲ့ ပရဟိတ စဖြစ်ခဲ့တာပါ။ ဟိုတနေ့က Sourceforge မှာ ဒေါင်းလုပ်အကြိမ်ကြည့်ဖြစ်တော့ Mossix က အများဆုံးဆိုတာ သတိထားမိတာရယ်၊ ဖိုင်အဟောင်းတွေရှင်းရင်း အရင်တုန်းကရေးဖူးတဲ့ လိုက်ဖ်စီဒီလုပ်နည်းလေး ပြန်တွေ့လို့ ဝေမျှချင်တာရယ်နဲ့ ဒီပို့လေးရေးဖြစ်သွားတာပါ။ ဒီမှာ လိုက်ဖ်စီဒီလုပ်နည်းလေးပါ။ ခုခေတ်တော့ လိုက်ဖ်စီဒီလုပ်ရတာအရမ်းလွယ်နေပါပြီ။

၁။ m17n ဆိုတာ i18n (internationalization), l10n (localization) တို့လို multilingualization ရဲ့အတိုကောက်ပါ။ အဲဒီနာမည်တွေသဘောကျလို့ ကျွန်တော့်အတိုကောက်နာမည်တွေ၊ အီးမေးလ်တွေမှာ tmhtet အစား t8t လို့ ပြောင်းသုံးရင်ကောင်းမလား စဉ်းစားနေပါတယ်။ :P
